What barcode formats are supported?

What is the difference between the barcode types?

Code 128 encodes all ASCII characters, Code 39 supports uppercase letters and digits, and EAN-13 is the standard 13-digit product barcode.

Is there a limit on the text length?

Code 128 supports up to ~80 characters, Code 39 is best for short strings, and EAN-13 requires exactly 13 digits (or 12 + check digit).
